Automatic Power OFF Mode
The meter has a default setting that automatically shuts the meter OFF after 15 minutes of
inactivity indicated by (
) symbol on screen.
To disable the auto power off function, press and hold the Data Hold/Backlight Button
while switching ON the unit. The symbol disappears from the display indicating the auto
power off is disabled.
The meter reverts to the auto power off mode when powered OFF and then ON.
Cleaning
• Do not immerse the Temperature Humidity meter in water. Wipe off dirt with a damp
soft cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solutions. Gently clean the display
screen with a clean dry cloth. Avoid rubbing too hard.
Storage
The RIDGID® micro HM-100 Temperature Humidity meter must be stored in a dry secure
area between -10°C (14°F) and 60°C (140°F) and humidity less than 80% RH.
Store the tool in a locked area out of the reach of children and people unfamiliar with the
meter.
Remove the battery before any long period of storage or shipping to avoid battery leakage.
The tool should be protected against hard impacts, moisture and humidity, dust and dirt,
extreme high and low temperatures and chemical solutions and vapors.
Service and Repair
WARNING
Improper service or repair (or calibration) can make the micro HM-100 Temperature
Humidity Meter unsafe to operate.
Service and repair (or calibration) of the meter must be performed by a RIDGID Independent
Authorized Service Center.

Disposal
Parts of the RIDGID® micro HM-100 Temperature Humidity Meter contain valuable materi-
als and can be recycled. There are companies that specialize in recycling that may be found
locally. Dispose of the components in compliance with all applicable regulations. Contact
your local waste management authority for more information.

Do not dispose of elec trical equipment with household
waste!
According to the European Guideline 2002/ 96/EC for Waste Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment and its implemen tation into national legislation, electrical
equipment that is no longer usable must be collected separately and disposed
of in an environmentally correct manner.
