Slide 92

Transfer Belt Contact Mechanism

For monochrome printing, the image transfer belt is disengaged

from the color drums.

The transfer belt contact sensor [1] detects the status of the

image transfer belt.

The transfer belt contact clutch [3] transfers the drive from the

transfer motor [4], and drives the mechanism through a cam [2],

to move the transfer belt into contact or away from the color

drums.
