Slide 79

Boards

EGB (Engine Board): This is the main board. It controls the
engine, the controller interface, image processing, MUSIC,
input/output, interfaces with the optional units, and the
operation panel.

Controller:

This controls the interface between the OPU and EGB,
ADF, scanner unit and applications.

The controller connects to the EGB through the PCI Bus
(Peripheral Component Interconnect Bus).

LD Drive Board: This is the laser diode drive circuit board.

OPU (Operation Panel Unit): This controls the display
panel, the LED, and the keypad.

MUSIC (Mirror Unit for Skew and Interval Correction).

MUSIC is also called Automatic Line Position Adjustment.
