2. Energy Saving

2.1 Overview – 1

Energy Saver Modes

Description

Energy Saver Mode 1
Default Off

Lower the fusing temperature.

Energy Saver Mode 2
(Sleep Mode)

No power is supplied to the printing engine, and almost none to the controller.

When the machine is not being used, the machine enters energy saver mode to
reduce the power consumption by turning off the LCD of the operation panel and
lowering the fusing temperature.

The area shaded green in this diagram represents the amount of energy that is
saved when the timers are at the default settings. If the timers are changed, then
the energy saved will be different. For example, if the timers are all set to 60
minutes, the green area will disappear, and no energy is saved before 60
minutes expires.

In this model, there is no Off Mode, because a printer unit is built in. Sleep mode
is used instead. Also, there is no Low Power Mode.
