Slide 44

Important Point for the User

If the user leaves the machine for a long period (days,
weeks, months), move these levers down.

In the ‘down’ position, the fusing pressure is reduced. This
prevents the hot roller from deforming if the machine is
turned off for a long period.

For normal operation, it should be at the ‘up’ position.

If the machine power is kept on, the fusing unit will idle every 24 hours to prevent
damage to the hot roller. But if the machine is turned off with pressure still
applied, the hot roller could deform.
