User Parameter Settings

A wide range of features can be switched on or off with the User Parameters.
However, this feature is more difficult to use than the On/ Off Switches. The
switches and adjustments are presented in the display as rows of digits.
Each digit can be either 0 or 1. Each feature is allocated one or more digits.
The value of the digit determines the status of the feature.

The overall procedure is explained below. However, each of the adjustments
that can be made using this procedure is explained in the relevant part of the
manual.
