9 Using the GPS Function

This camera can obtain and use GPS (Global Positioning System)
information (longitude and latitude) in two ways.
The first is by connecting the camera directly to a GPS module.
The second is by using a Bluetooth

®

 SPP (Serial Port Profile) to

connect to a Bluetooth

®

 GPS unit.

You can record GPS information on shot still images. GPS
information recorded with a still image can be displayed on the
Playback mode screen.

Caution------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For information about using the GPS module or Bluetooth

®

 GPS unit, see the

documentation that came with the device.

GPS information can be recorded to still images shot with this camera.

GPS information cannot be recorded with a Text Mode still image or movie.

Under some geographical conditions, GPS information cannot be obtained.

In some cases, positioning may take time.
