Example
(continued)
1.
Determine the HPPI by dividing the number of active horizontal pixels by the
width of the active display area:
HPPI = 1920 / 20.5 = 93.66
2.
Determine the VPPI by dividing the number of active vertical pixels by the
height of the active picture area:
VPPI = 1200 / 12.75 in = 94.12
3.
Multiply the width of the left bezel by the HPPI:
Left Bezel Compensation = 0.75 in × 93.66 = 70.24 pixels
4.
Repeat Step 3 for the right bezel:
Right Bezel Compensation = 0.75 in × 93.66 = 70.24 pixels
5.
Add these two values to arrive at the total vertical mullion compensation:
Total Vertical (X) Mullion Compensation =
70.24 + 70.24 = 140.48 or
140 pixels
6.
Calculate the Horizontal (Y) mullion compensation using the same approach,
based on the VPPI:
Top Bezel Compensation = 0.75 in x 94.12 = 70.59 pixels
Bottom Bezel Compensation = 0.75 in x 94.12 = 70.59 pixels
Total Horizontal (Y) Mullion Compensation =
70.59 + 70.59 = 141.18 or
141 pixels
