MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING

•

Safety instructions

The guidelines in chapters 1.4 or 4.1 should be followed in case of all
servicing, inspection and repair works. Especially, the main switch should
be switched off (position "0") and should be secured with a lock. In addition
it is recommended that the plug of the power supply cable should be
removed from the socket or the mains fuse should be switched off and they
should be made inaccessible for third persons.

Work on electrical devices may be executed only by qualified
electricians.

-

Only original "REX" replacement parts or exchange parts may be
used. In case of non-compliance, the warrantee deed from the
machine manufacturer or his agencies or commercial agencies is
cancelled.

-

Interference in the original delivered condition of the machine control
is strictly prohibited. On no account may changes be made to the
machine control or its parts. This prohibition is also enclosed with the
control (hardware and software side), wiring and the configuration of
devices. The warrantee deed from the machine manufacturer or his
agencies is cancelled in case of non-compliance.

If the cover of the switch box was opened, then the cover seal should
be implicitly tested for leak-proof closure and should be renewed if
required. Further, it must be ascertained that all screws of the machine
cover are screwed in.

5.4

MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORK

5.4.1

Daily maintenance (every 8 working hours)

-

Independent of the cleaning plan, the external machine body should be
cleaned with neutral cleaner and subsequently should be rubbed in with
maintenance oil (for suitable medium refer to section 5.2 Cleaning the
piston filler).

Checking the rotating piston and roasting piston for integrity and
unnatural abrasion. If the seals (roasting cylinder, roasting piston,
rotating piston) are worn and torn, then immediately replace with original
replacement parts.

Visual inspection of the commanding and signalling device on the
control panel. Get damaged or unreliable parts renewed immediately.
