THE SUITABLE FLYING ENVIRoNMENT:
The location in which the quadrocopter is flown should fulfil the following criteria:
• It should be an indoor location with still air. Insofar as possible, there should be no air
condition systems, heaters, etc., which could cause airflow.
• The room should be at least 10 metres long, six metres wide and three metres high.
For stunt flying, we recommend flying outdoors or in a large hall with at least 10 m
in each direction.
• There should be no disruptive objects in the room (fans, lamps, etc.).
• When starting, make absolutely sure that all persons and animals - including the pilot
- are at least 1-2 metres away from the aircraft before the flight begins.

GENERAL FLYING TIPS:
• Always place the quadrocopter on a level
surface. An inclined surface can, under
certain circumstances, have a negative
impact on the starting behaviour of the
quadrocopter.
• Always move the controls slowly and with
a gentle touch.
• Always maintain visual contact with the
quadrocopter and do not look at the
remote control!
• Move the thrust control down again
somewhat as soon as the quadrocopter
lifts off from the ground. To maintain the
flying altitude, adapt the setting of the
thrust control.
• If the quadrocopter lowers, move the
thrust control slightly upward again.
• If the quadrocopter climbs, move the thrust
control down slightly.
• In order to fly along a curve, it often
suffices to tap the directional control
very slightly in the respective direction.
On initial flight attempts, there is a
general tendency toward excessive
movements of the quadrocopter controls.
Always move the controls slowly and
carefully. Never fast and fitfully.
• Beginners should only attempt to master
the thrust control after the trim adjust-
ment. The quadrocopter does not
necessarily have to fly straight at the
beginning - initially, it is more important
to maintain a constant height of
approximately one metre above the
ground by repeatedly tapping the thrust
control. Only then should the pilot
practice steering the quadrocopter left
and right.
BATTERY STATUS:
• If the LED "eyes" are flashing, the battery is empty. Commence with landing in order
to avoid crashing!
QUADRoCoPTER ARMS:
• The upper and lower arms of the quadrocopter are designed so that they can disconnect
on impact, instead of breaking. In this case, press the upper and lower sections of the
arms together again until they engage in place.

If the rotor blades of the quadrocopter are damaged and you must replace them, proceed as
follows:

Prior to installation, make sure that you do not mix up the propellers. The quadro-
copter has 4 different propellers, which differ in colour and markings on the bottom:
• Front right: White, marking A
• Front left: White, marking B
• Rear right: Black, marking B
• Rear left: Black, marking A
8B
Carefully remove the defective propeller from the shaft.
8C
Carefully fit the new propeller on the shaft.

Problem: The propellers do not move.
Cause:
• The ON/OFF switch is in the "OFF" position.
• The battery is too weak or depleted.
Remedy:
• Set the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position.
• Charge the battery.
Problem: The quadrocopter stops and descends during flight for no apparent
reason.
Cause:
• The battery is too weak.
Remedy:
• Charge the battery.
Problem: The quadrocopter cannot be controlled with the remote control.
Cause:
• The ON/OFF switch is in the "OFF" position.
• The batteries were not inserted correctly.
• The batteries do not have enough power.
Remedy:
• Set the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position.
• Check whether the batteries are inserted correctly.
• Insert new batteries.
Problem: The quadrocopter only turns on its vertical axis or rolls over when
started.
Cause:
Incorrect arrangement of the propellers.
Remedy:
Install the propellers as outlined in the manual.
Problem: The quadrocopter will not perform rolling manoeuvres.
Cause:
• Remote control in normal mode; battery level too low.
Remedy:
• Switch the remote control to expert mode, recharge the battery.

Liability insurance has been mandatory since 2005 for flying model aircraft and
helicopters outdoors. Contact your private liability insurer and make sure that your new
and earlier models are included in the insurance coverage. Request confirmation in
writing and keep it in a safe place. Alternatively, the DMFV offers a trial membership
free of charge online at www.dmfv.aero, which includes insurance.
