Version 3

5.3.3.2  Recommended Actions

In most cases, information is provided to the operator to rectify the problem. For instance
an alarm indicating missing sound velocity input to the 7125 processor will require the
operator to check the instrument and the input.

If errors occur that result in a condition where the systems in not operable the following
actions are recommended.

1.  Exit any active applications.

2.  Shut down the processor completely.

3.  Restart the processor. (Use Shut Down from the menu rather than Restart.)

4.  If the condition persists after a shutdown and restart, contact RESON

Service (

[email protected]

).

For a description of event messages and recommended actions, see

Appendix A

Troubleshooting

.

5.3.4  1PPS Input Indicator

The 1PPS input indicator reveals the selection that has been made in the Trigger/PPS
Configuration dialog (see

section 4.2.5.3 1PPS Polarity

)

Plus sign (+) = Rising edge of the 1PPS signal will be used.

Minus sign (-) = Falling edge of the 1PPS signal will be used.

Green = 1PPS signal is being received.

Yellow = 1PPS signal has been lost for at least 3 seconds.

Red = 1PPS signal has been lost for at least 15 seconds.

5.3.5  Normalization Indicator

The Normalization indicator reveals the current channel normalization status of the
system (see

section 4.3 Channel Normalization

).

Green = System has been normalized.

Yellow = Normalization is in progress.

Red = System has not been normalized.
