c) Assembly of the Z-expansion
Identification and explanation of the new horizontal aluminium profiles
2 x aluminium profile 676 mm with 4 bores
2 x aluminium profile 676 mm with 4 bores and 1 cutout for ball bearing
Find the differences of the 4 long aluminium profiles below (from top
down and from the front view of the printer).
The milled sides of the respective bore always must point to the out-
side. The screw is always pushed in from this side as well.
Aluminium profile 1: front left
Aluminium profile 2: front right
Aluminium profile 3: rear left (with cutout for ball bearing)
Aluminium profile 4: rear right (with cutout for ball bearing)
The 4 long aluminium profiles are now installed in the printer in sequence, starting with the front profiles. Then the new holder with
the guide rails is installed, followed by the new spindle.
When this is done, the previously removed components will be re-installed in the printer.
