10 Operation
10 .1 Introduction
Volumes or volume files are generated by the DataHUB software suite running on the data collector
PC. This comprises:
•
DataHUB Generator – to trigger volume creation
•
DataHUB Monitor – to view the progress of volume creation
•
DataHUB Service – to create the volumes
Note: Volumes can be created from data as a build is progressing, or after a build has been
completed.
Note: A single data collector PC can accommodate up to six AM systems on either a 1 Gigabit or
10 Gigabit Ethernet.
Volume files can then be loaded into InfiniAM Spectral on a viewing PC. This section describes how to
use both DataHUB and Spectral.
10 .2 Generating volume files using DataHUB
The aim of the DataHUB suite of programs is to enable the user to generate viewable volume files
(*.vol) from the raw data (*.dat) files produced by the LaserVIEW and MeltVIEW hardware in the
Renishaw AM system.
