5.2 Powering on the XPS-80/90
When the printer has been completely assembled and all the ca-
bles have been connected, it can be switched on.
Before an initial test print can be performed, the following steps
must be carried out. The control panel will now be described so
that you can fulfill all of the initial settings.
•
Switch the XPS-80/90 on via the power switch (located on the
power input module. See Section 3.3..1 for location).
The following messages will appear in brief succession on the
XPS-80/90:
First Line:
U1/U2 = Print units
MOT
= Motor board
AF-635 = AF635 Feeder
Second Line:
OK
= Slot-in card / board present and tested
NO
= No slot-in card / board present
-A
= XPS-90 automatic version
The message “Feeder AF-635 Online“ will appear only if the
AF635 is correctly connected.
When the initialization has been completed, the following mes-
sage appears:
