1.   Carefully unpack brick liners; the bricks are heavy, 

handle with care. Refer to brick layout (Diagram 1 

below) to identify bricks.

See diagram to ID brick 1,2,3,6,7,8.

Bricks 1,2 and 3 are all flat on the bottom. 

Bricks 7 and 8 are beveled on the outside top corner.

Brick panel Installation

Note:  Brick installation for units from Serial # 472000044 

to present.

The CF780 has 2 options for the bricks that line the interior 

of the firebox. One of the two options MUST be installed.

8.  Install lower right brick (3).

9.  

Install lower left brick (2). The side brick will hold the 

back brick in place.

10.  Install centre back upper brick (6),reinstall the  center 

bracket (removed in Step 3) with 2 screws. 

11.  Install left back upper brick (7),reinstall the  center 

bracket (removed in Step 3) with 2 screws.

12.  Install right back upper brick (8),reinstall the  center 

bracket (removed in Step 3) with 2 screws.

13.  Reinstall smoke deflector support and smoke deflector.

14.   Hook on left and right brick retaining brackets.

7.   Install brick (4) and one andiron on floor of firebox on 

top of vermiculite bricks. Rotate the andiron slightly 

so that its top slides thru the hole in the brick (see 

diagram 1 below). Place brick (4) and andiron in the 

center of vermiculite bricks—then slide to the left. 

Install brick (5) to the right of brick (4). Repeat this 

step to install the second andiron.

4.   Remove smoke deflector and support (2 pieces) by 

lifting up and out.

5.  

Install lower center brick (1) and hold in place. 

6.   Install the 3 firebox base vermiculite bricks (2 sides/1 

center) that came with the appliance. 

2.   Slide firescreen and glass door up and out of the way.

3.  Remove three (3) center retaining brackets (circled in 

Diagram 2), shared with vermiculite insulation bricks, 

by removing 2 screws each.
