Vermiculite Smoke Chamber Panel Replacement

1. Slide screen door and glass door up and out of the way.
2. Remove smoke deflector (2 parts) in front by lifting up and out.
3. Each insulation panel is held clips secured by 2 screws each.
4. See diagram below to ID each panel and number of clips needed to be removed. When centre clip(s) have been removed, panel can usually be lifted up

on off the lower clip, without removing it.

5. Remove centre clips and lift panel up off lower clip and remove from unit.
6. Remove panels if damaged and replaced if required.
7. Reverse steps to reassemble unit.

Remove the smoke deflector

Panels

1. Close the top damper by setting the flue control on the side in the locked position,

by pulling damper control down.

Replacing the Top Damper

2. Remove the smoke deflector (as shown in the image below) by lifting it up and over

the flange it is sitting on.

3. From inside the unit remove the 3 socket head caps screws (they

use a 5/16” Allen key) across the top flue damper.

4. With the screws are removed, jiggle the damper slightly to

release it.

5. Ensure the weight is facing you when attaching the new damper.
