f) Installing the flight battery
The charged flight battery (1) is attached to the battery
compartment from above as per the illustration using the
2 Velcro straps (2) provided.
The Velcro bands must be passed through the slots in the
chassis before attaching the battery.
It is recommended that you glue Velcro to the bottom of
the battery compartment and the battery itself to avoid the
battery slipping.
In any case, you have to make absolutely sure that the
battery can neither loosen nor fall out.
g) Checking the rotor head setting
Before you can take your first test flight with the helicopter you will need to check or adjust the settings of the rotor
head.
Attention important!
Before you begin operating your transmitter, ensure that the motor of the helicopter does not start up
uncontrollably.
In order to prevent this, simply disconnect one of the three plug connections between the speed control
and the motor.
Now put the transmitter into operation and connect the
flight battery to the helicopter. Ensure that all the trim levers
on the transmitter are in the middle (neutral) position and
that the gas / pitch lever is also in the middle position.
Now all the servo arms (1) on the swash plate servo should
be in a horizontal position parallel to the swash plate (2).
The pitch compensator arms (3) should also be in hori-
zontal position in this setting.
If there is a deviation form this positioning, the rods (4)
from the servo arms to the swash plate must be lengthened
or shortened by turning the ball-head fitting.
The settings tools and rotor blade scales, paddle gauge and the level for setting the paddle rod displayed
in the following are not included in the delivery and must be purchased separately.
