11. Programming the drive control
Normally, the drive control is already pre-programmed correctly. You can reprogram the vehicle in just a few steps,
however.
Proceed as described below for reprogramming:
• As illustrated in chapter 9. g (see ill. 4), place the vehicle in a position in which the wheels can rotate freely.
• If you have not already done so, turn the transmitter on, connect the accumulator pack with the drive control and turn
the vehicle on.
• Put both trim controls „ST.TRIM“ and „TH.TRIM“ (see ill. 1, pos. 7 and 8) into the center position. The vehicle's motor
may already start up now.
• Let go of the throttle on the transmitter to return it to neutral position.
• Press the setup button on the drive control for approx. 2 seconds. The green LED of the drive control flashes.
The drive is turned off for safety reasons during programming!
• Shift the throttle on the transmitter to full-throttle position for forward driving (pull the throttle towards the handle) and
then in the full-throttle position for reverse driving (push the throttle away from the handle). You may possibly do this
more than once. It is important that the throttle is moved to the respective final position.
Attention!
If you do not shift the transmitter's throttle far enough during programming or not at all, it may
happen that the vehicle reacts to the slightest moves of the transmitter's throttle after
programming or becomes uncontrollable. Then you have to re-program.
• Now let go of the throttle on the transmitter so that it returns to the neutral position (do not touch/shift).
• Briefly press the setup button on the drive control.
Now both LEDs (red and green) are lit to show you that the drive control is in the neutral position. The settings are
saved and the vehicle now responds to the remote control commands again.
The green LED is lit when driving forwards, the red LED when driving backwards. This is important if
you want to e.g. use a different remote control transmitter/receiver. Then set the reverse function on the
transmitter correctly.
If the vehicle still drives into the wrong direction (movement of the throttle on the transmitter into the
right direction, green LED is lit but the vehicle still drives backwards), exchange the two motor connection
cables to the drive control.
