Referring to the layout plan, examine the ground conditions to ensure the surface can
support the intended load of the system. Prepare the base surface for erection, removing
any debris, obstacles, or any other conditions that could lead to injury during erection.
Prepare the bearing areas by leveling and/or compacting the ground surface. Add cribbing
or base plates to properly support the bearing force. (See Table 2.1)
