3.2 RECIRCULATION MANAGEMENT
The Recirculating function allows you to enter the DHW circuit at the desired operating temperature. This reduces
the waste of water that occurs when a withdrawal occurs while waiting for the desired temperature to reach a
comfortable value.
The control parameters of this feature are:
P.51 Operating mode:
P.51 = 0
Recirculating disable
P.51 = 1
Temporal modulation with ratio 1/10:
Recirculation pump is ON for P.52 minutes, then OFF for 10xP.52 minutes
P.51 = 2
Thermo-regulation of recirculating line:
Recirculation
NTC
probe
Needed;
this feature allows the recirculation pump turning when recirculation temperature increases
significantly.
This feature allows to save power consumption and working time of recirculation pump. If, at
the end of time ON (10xP.52), the temperature is not increased, the pump turn off anywaye
for OFF timing (10xP.52)
P.52 = 3
Recirculation pump always ON. Pump OFF only in STAND_BY state (RED LED on)
P.52 ON timing
P.53 Recirculating temperature derivative for switch off pump. Expressed in °c every 30 min
3.3 ANTI-LEGIONELLA
Legionella is a bacterium that, under certain conditions, can grow within a water system.
The proliferation of this bacterium depends on many factors and finds the best conditions to survive between 20°C
and 45°C.
This is why, although each country has its own local regulation for the prevention of Legionella, all of them still
provide water heating at a temperature higher than 50 °C.
The anti-Legionella cycle is a special function that is carried out by DWH Controller. The purpose of this function is to
heat the water in the tank so as to eliminate all the bacteria that may have developed inside the accumulation.
Anti-Legionella cycle stops when:
•
Water temperature greater than 65 °C (Adjustable value by P.74 parameter)
•
Water temperature greater than 55 °C (P.72) for 120 minutes (P.73)
•
Water temperature greater than 50 °C (P.70) for 240 minutes (P.71)
The cycle is activated within a time set by P.16 patrameter (if P16 = 0, this feature is inactive).
During the cycle the yellow led remains lit if the temperature exceeds the minimum disinfection value (P. 70),
flashing otherwise.
It is possible that the electrical resistances are activated during the anti-Legionella cycle.
During the cycle, by analyzing the trend of the water temperature, the software realizes if the heat pump energy is
sufficient, otherwise it uses the electrical resistance according to the same logic used by the function
3.1
NOTE:
The anti-Legionella cycle is critical to people's health; It is normally completed by heating from
thermodynamic sources. However, we cannot rule out that, in unfavourable weather conditions, the heat pump is
not able to complete the aforementioned cycle alone. For this reason it is obligatory to use the electrical resistance.
In case of disconnection of the electrical resistances, in certain operating conditions, it could happen that the anti-
Legionella cycle is not completed, the condition for which our company assumes no civil liability.
