The Guard Zones are defined on the Synapsis Radar and can be displayed on
the ECDIS.

Procedure

The acquisition zones and exclusions zones are defined on the Synapsis Radar
and can be displayed on the ECDIS.

7.1.8

Man Overboard

When the Man Overboard command is selected, the ECDIS posts an entry to
the Event Log. You may sound the alarm immediately by clicking on Alarm but-
ton (a second MOB entry and Alarm entry will be posted to the Event Log). If the
Alarm is signaled, ECDIS disconnects the autopilot, and places a ship mark on
the display.
The Man Overboard All Clear command turns off the general alarm and posts a
“man overboard cleared” entry in the Event Log.
