SOOTY FLAME-HIGH FIRE.
Oil rate to high.
Re-adjust high fire oil rate.
Down Draughts.
Check flue for down draughts and
eliminate them.
Poor fitting burner shells.
Check set of shells seating properly
Replace set of shells.
Check burner base, replace if
necessary.
CONTINUOUS LOW FIRE.
Power failure.
Check mains supply: if power cut
use manual control.
Cooker thermostat fault.
Replace cooker thermostat.
Oil valve electric top fault.
Replace electric top.
Oil valve control pin stuck.
Free using manual control lever.
CONTINUOUS HIGH FIRE.
On manual over ride.
Return manual over ride lever to
low position.
Cooker thermostat fault.
Replace cooker thermostat.

Check oil supply.
