Parking and unhitching the single-disc spreader
The spreader can be parked safely on the frame.
General instructions for parking the spreader
The spreader may only be parked on a firm, level surface.
Only park the spreader with an empty hopper.
Relieve the load on the hitching points (lower / upper link) before unhitching
the spreader.
After unhitching, place the universal drive shaft, hydraulic hoses, and electric
cables in the retainers provided for the purpose.
Instructions for hydraulic slider control
It is essential that you follow the instructions below for parking the spreader if it is
fitted with a hydraulic slider control.
n
DANGER
Risk of crushing between the tractor and the spreader.
Persons standing between the tractor and the spreader while they
are being parked or unhitched are in lethal danger.
When activating the external control for the three-point link-
age, make sure that there is no one standing between the
tractor and the spreader.
n
WARNING
Crushing and severing hazard in the vicinity of the applica-
tion rate setting device.
When releasing the setscrew on the application rate end stop, the
slide lever can move unexpectedly and suddenly to the end of the
guide slot, and can cause severe injury to the fingers.
Only release the setscrew of the application rate end stop
when the metering slider is closed.
Never put your fingers in the guide slot of the application
rate setting device.
If the spreader is parked alone (without the tractor) the
metering slider must be opened fully: the hydraulic cylinder
at the end stop, return spring still under tension.
