4.5.1 Pressure cooking fill levels (optional)
If you wish to pressure cook the food, the pan must always contain the quantity of water stated in the min. fill
level / pan [l] column. The value stated in the max. fill level / pan [l] column relates to the fill level in the pan with
water, liquid food or solid food in cooking liquid.

4.7 Opening and closing the pan lid
CAUTION
The pan lid can be opened and closed only with jerky movements
If the pan lid mechanism is defective, there is a risk of injury.
1. Open the pan lid fully and leave open.
2. Contact your RATIONAL Service Partner.
NOTICE
The pan lid and the pan lid gasket can be damaged if the pan lid is closed when the pan is tilted
Function parts must be replaced when damaged.
1. Only close the unit lid once the pan is fully lowered.
Open pan lid
1. CAUTION! Scalding hazard! If the unit is in operation, hot steam may surge out of the pan. Grip the pan lid
handle and open the pan lid.
Closing pan lid
You can close the pan lid manually and automatically. If you want to close the pan lid automatically, you have to
activate the function in the settings:

The pan lid will be automatically lowered until it reaches a rest position. This rest position will be held for a few
seconds. If you do not close the pan lid manually now, the pan lid will reopen automatically.
