4.6 Burner assembly (accessory)
Boilers of type F220 NT can be operated with oil or gas
blast burners for overpressure firing. The burner must be
selected according to the manufacturers instructions
concerning firing capacity, firing pressure and length of
combustion chamber.
Since the boiler is designed for overpressure
firing, the gap between burner flame pipe and
door insulation must be carefully sealed with
a strip of insulating material after the burner
installation. The non-observance of this
instruction may lead to major damage to door
and its insulation.
Prior to commissioning of the boiler, the leak
tightenss of burner door and waste gas collector
must be checked.
For a two-stage burner the first stage must correspond to
a least 50% of the boiler heating capacity.
Boiler efficiency, correct operation of the burner and
reduction of flue gas emission basically depend on the
precision of the burner settings. Therefore, please
observe the installation and set-up instructions for the
burner.
11 Install the burner by following the installation
instructions for the burner.
Connect burner plug

to the two counter plugs on the
control panel.
4.4 Connection on flue gas side
The flue gas pipe must be connected to the flue gas
socket of the boiler according to DIN 1298. Make sure
that it is tighten all around the flue gas socket. The
chimney connection must be in accordance with the rele-
vant regulations. It is recommended to install an insulation
layer between flud gas pipe and chimney wall to prevent
the transfer of noises. The flue gas pipe must be installed
ascending to the chimney.
The properly dimensioned chimney is a
prerequisite for the optimal function of the
firing system.
The dimensioning must be in accordance with DIN 4705,
under due consideration of DIN 18160, and should be
based on boiler and burner capacity. For variable
operation, provisions must be made for chimneys
according to DIN 18160 Part 1, Group I. For the
calculation the flue gas mass flow of the overall nominal
heating capacity must be used.
The effective chimney height starts from the burner level.
In addition, we would like to draw your attention to the
building regulations of the individual federal states.
4.5 Fuels
Only fuel oil EL acc. to DIN 51603, town gas, natural and
liquid gas according to DVGW worksheet G 260 may be
used.
