65 ESP-LXD Controller
Installing a PBC-LXD
The Programming Backup Cartridge (PBC-LXD) gets installed in the
back of the controller front panel.

Open the controller outer cabinet door and inner front panel. See
Section H, Access Controller Cabinet for more details.

Press down on the top-latch of the cartridge bay cover and
remove it from the back of the controller front panel.

Connect the PBC-LXD ribbon cable to the knife-edge connector
located at the top-left corner inside the cartridge bay of the
controller front panel.

Orient the cartridge so that the two bottom hinges fit into the
hinge openings at the bottom of the cartridge bay. Then gently
swing the PBC-LXD up into place, snapping the top-latch.

Turn the controller dial to ETM/IQ/PBC Settings to check that the
controller has recognized the PBC-LXD.

NOTE: There may be a short delay while the ESP-LXD controller
recognizes the newly installed cartridge for the first time.

NOTE:
The PBC-LXD can be operated only in a controller
connected to power. It can not be operated in front panels
powered only by a 9 volt battery.
