This chapter explains the settings you will need to make before using the Receiver (Set-Top Box) for
the first time.
Switch on your television and set it to receiver reception (AV or
SCART input).
Press the On / Off button on the receiver or on the remote
control.
The receiver display indicates with "ON" that it is ready for use.
You will see the following image on the screen:
Set your language. The orange dialogue block shows you how
to do this and which remote control buttons you require.
Press the " OK " button, The following display shows you what
to do next.
If you have pressed the OK button, you will see the "
General
Settings
" menu.
The screen menu shows you the buttons which you can use -
and which function they have.
Example:
"
Back
" - return to the previous screen menu.
"
Exit
" - return to the TV display.
"
Menu
" - go to the main menu.
1. Time Zone
Set your time zone by selecting a country in your Time zone
2. Summer time
Select "ON" to set Summer time or "OFF" to Set Winter time.
3. TV Aspect Ratio
Select the aspect ratio for your TV (4:3 or 16:9)
4. TV Signal
Select the optimal video format for your television. Refer to the manual of your TV set for this information.

Specify the required language
8. DiSEqC
Use this option to control the LNB and Position of the antenna. Refer to Section 7.2 on DiSEqC Setting for
more details.
9. Banner Time out
You can select display time of the " INFO BOX "
10. LNB Connection Type
You must be set to your connection method. See chapter 4.3.2 " Connect to the Antenna "
If DiSEqC is set to 1.2, the function of DiSEqC 1.0 (A, B, C, D) is no longer guaranteed.
After completing these initial steps it is possible to view the preprogrammed channels. To do this you must first
activate the preprogrammed settings:
Press the Exit button to load the settings you have programmed. After a short period you will be able to
receive TV programmes.
If you wish not to use the preprogrammed settings then it is possible, by pressing the Menu button, to change
to the Main Menu (see chapter 8) and customize the settings yourself.
