Chapter 2 Installing the Cartridge Tape Library
Configuring the Tape Library

ATL PowerStor L200 Series Library User’s Guide

Procedure

Press Select until

SCSI ID?

is displayed.

Press Next to enter the SCSI ID menu.

View ID?

is displayed.

Press Enter to view all SCSI IDs.

If the SCSI IDs listed are correct for the system configuration, press
Select to return to the main menu.

If the SCSI IDs are incorrect for the system configuration, change
the drive or library SCSI ID setting.

Changing the SCSI
Drive Settings

To change the SCSI ID settings for the drive:

Procedure

Press Select until

SCSI ID?

is displayed.

Press Next.

Set ID?

is displayed.

Press Enter.

Set ID? Drive 0?

is displayed.

Press Enter.

The SCSI ID selections (0 to 15) are displayed. Press Previous or
Next to arrive at the desired SCSI ID setting, then press Enter.

Note: For the DLT4000, only the selections 0-7 are valid.

Press Select to return to the main menu.

Changing the Library
SCSI ID Settings

To change the SCSI ID for the library controller:

Procedure

Press Select until

SCSI ID?

is displayed.

Press Next.

Set ID? Library?

is displayed.

Press Enter.

The SCSI ID selections (0 to 15) are displayed. Press Previous or
Next to arrive at the desired SCSI ID setting, then press Enter

Upon completion, press Select to return to the main menu.

Recycle power for new SCSI IDs to take effect.
