STORAGE

Trailer should be kept in a closed or roofed building.

If  the  machine  will  not  be  used  for  a  long  time,  it  is  essential  to  protect  it  from

adverse  weather,  especially  rust  and  accelerated  tyre  deterioration.  During  this

time the machine must be unloaded. Trailer should be very carefully washed and

dried.

Corroded  places  should  be  cleaned  of  rust,  degreased  and  protected  using

undercoat paint and then painted with surface paint according to colour scheme.

In  the  event  of  prolonged  work  stoppage, it is  essential  to  lubricate  all  elements

regardless of the period of the last lubrication process.

Wheel  rims  and  tyres  should  be  carefully  washed  and  dried.  During  longer

storage of unused trailer it is recommended that every 2 to 3 weeks the machine

may be moved a bit so that the place of contact of tyres with ground is changed.

The tyres will not be deformed and maintain proper geometry. Also tyre pressure

should  be  inspected  from  time  to  time,  and  if  necessary  pressure  should  be

increased to appropriate value.

TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR NUT AND BOLT

CONNECTIONS

Unless  other  tightening  parameters  are  given,  during  maintenance  repair  work  apply

appropriate torque to tightening nut and bolt connections. Recommended tightening torque of

most frequently applied nut and bolt connections are given in table (5.7). Given values apply

to non-lubricated steel bolts.
