Setup and administration tasks for NAS include creating Shard Folders, and configuration of Shared Folders.
Create Shared Folder
To create a shared folder:
1.
Click on the
Virtual Storage
where you want to create the shared folder.
2. Click on the
NAS
menu tab.
3.
Click on
Create Folder
button. In the new menu, enter a name for the new Shared Folder. If you want
to enable NFS, or SMB/CIFS, click on the menu tab to enable and configure those shared file systems.
Note that you can also enable and configure them after the new shared folder is created.
Additional configuration options available when creating a shared folder include designating the folder
as Read-only, or specifying user accounts allowed to access the folder. These settings can also be
changed later (see below).
Configure Shared Folder NFS, SMB/CIFS Settings
To change shared folder NFS or SMB/CIFS settings:
1.
Click on the
Virtual Storage
where you want to create the shared folder.
2. Click on the
NAS
menu tab.
3.
Click to select the Shared Folder from the list to configure.
4.
Click the
Change Folder Settings
button.
5. Use the same menus to configure NFS, SMB/CIFS to configure the shared file system protocols.
