2.
Ensure that the value "0%" is displayed as the setting for
"Ozone". Use the N key to adjust the ozone control variable
to 0% if necessary. In this setting, the high-voltage generator
is deactivated and no ozone is generated.
3.
Start the system with the
[START] / [STOP] key. The system
switches to "Start without ozone generation" operating status.
ð
The control unit opens the solenoid valves on the pneu‐
matic side (gas inlet 23 and ozone outlet 5) and the
coolant inlet valve.
4.
Use the angle valve to adjust the nominal cooling water flow.
5.
Make sure that the ozone generator(s) is/are fully filled with
cooling water before setting an ozone control variable of
greater than or equal to 3%. You will recognise this by the
bubble-free flow of cooling water through the cooling water
flow meter (24).
It is essential that the specified cooling water flows are
adhered to.
6.
Set the required system priming pressure.
7.
Set the required process gas flow.
The pressure sensor (6) in the control cabinet measures the
pressure. The measured value is displayed on the touch
panel with
‘___ barü’ .
This pressure must lie within the permissible range. The
pressure is determined by the:
n
System priming pressure
n
Actual gas flow (to a lesser extent)
n
Pressure in the raw water section (to a greater extent)
If the pressure is too high, then the pressure relief valve (8)
will blow off and the gas flow will drop very considerably. In
this case, the pressure in the raw water section is too high
and must be reduced. If this does not happen, then the
system will be switched off with a
‘Pressure too high’ error
message. Continuous operation of the system with excess
pressure could result in damage to the ozone generator(s)
and/or the electrical system.
8.
Before starting ozone generation, make sure that the ozone
warning equipment is responsive, switched on and correctly
wired. Also test the locking mechanism between the ozone
detector and the system.
9.
Check that the alarm device connected to the system's alarm
relay is working correctly.
10. Check that all external equipment and installations, such as
ozone monitoring equipment, residual ozone destruction
units and degassing valves, are correctly installed on the
system and activated.
11. Make sure that the ozone generator(s) is/are fully filled with
cooling water before setting an ozone control variable of
greater than or equal to 3%. You will recognise this by the
bubble-free flow of cooling water through the cooling water
flow meter (24).
12. Adjust the ozone value from 0% to 3%. Shortly thereafter,
ozone generation starts up and the generation rate is dis‐
played in the "Ozone generation rate” (g/h) field.
