7.2 Electrical inputs and outputs of the system
The system has the following inputs and outputs, which are avail‐
able to the user to control and manage the generation of ozone -
see the wiring diagram in the Appendix:
n
"Pause" contact input
This input can be used to put the system in a PAUSE status.
The input is potentially isolated from all other electrical compo‐
nents of the system.
"Contact open" indicates that the PAUSE status is enabled.
n
"Process water flow" contact input
This input can be used to put the system in a PAUSE status by
means of the minimum contact of a process water flow meter.
"Contact open" indicates that the PAUSE status is activated.
n
"Ozone detector" contact input
The alarm output of an ozone detector can be connected to
this contact. The ozone detector used should have a potential-
free alarm contact.
"Contact open" indicates ozone alarm.
n
Standard signal input
The function of the standard signal input depends on the oper‐
ating mode of the system:
– "Internal" operating mode:
Standard signal input is not activated
– "External" operating mode:
The standard signal input can be used to specify the ozone
control variable, either via a 4 ... 20 mA or
0 ... 20 mA signal. Thus a current value of 0 or 4 mA corre‐
sponds to a control variable of 0%, and a current value of
20 mA corresponds to a control variable of 100%.
n
"Collective alarm" relay output
This output is used to report a fault in the system. The output is
configured as a changeover contact.
n
"Ozone operating message" relay output
This output is used to signal the "Ozone operating message"
operating status. It is enabled when the system is generating
ozone. (Control variable 3% and higher, no PAUSE status, no
error message.)
n
"Warning" relay output
