After opening the wheelchair, carefully check that the seat tubes are well inserted
on the four supports S.
In order to make the operation easier, it is advisable to lift one rear wheel to reduce the friction on
the floor. To do so, take hold on the backrest and slightly lift the wheelchair.
Now, with your free hand on the seat tube, position A or B, push the seat tube down on the
supports S.
Check that the seat tubes are well inserted on the four supports S.
Lower the footplate.
Locking the backrest handle bar
Now you can lock the backrest handle bar.
Turn the long side until aligning its end B with the other tube.
Pull out the knob C and insert the end B into the tube.
Release the knob C and make sure the two parts of the handle bar D do not come apart.
The knob C locks in one only position, therefore, should it remain unlocked when you release it,
turn it until you find the position allowing it to lock.
Should the knob C does not lock automatically, slightly press it in.
Always check the handle bar is properly locked.
Never use the wheelchair if the handle bar is not properly locked.
CLOSING
Closing the seat
You can fold the seat only if the two parts of backrest handle bar are separated and the two
backrest tubes are in their upright position.
Pull the knob C, separate the two parts of the handle bar and turn its long side down.
Remove the cushion or any other
soft or rigid supports from the seat
and from the backrest.
Raise the footplate.
With both hands, pull the seat
canvas up as shown in the picture.
Closing the backrest when the seat is folded.
With one finger, pull up the pin P and fold the backrest down taking hold of it on its handle grip.
The two tubes are independent; therefore, you have to carry out the same operation on both other
backrest tubes individually.
