7.6.2
Hotel numbering (storey)
In some blocks, the apartment number starts with a
prefix indicating the floor number. It is a hotel
number (floor number). PC255 decoders can be
addressed up to 255, and therefore, in case of a block
with such numbering, there is a need to apply hotel
conversion.
The algorithm that converts logical numbers into
physical numbers, in case of floor numbering, is
similar to linear numbering (see point 7.6.1). The
difference consists in adding one level calculating the
number on the basis of settings “level of numbering
division” and “number of premises on the first floor”
(see Table 18). The algorithm is shown in Figure 7.
Unlike CD1803, the KDC1905 control panel enables
to change the level of division of hotel numbering (i.e.
how many digits on the front of number is the floor
number). Please note that the maximum number of
premises on the floor is limited to 99. To enable hotel
numbering, set the numbering level parameter to a
value different from 0. The numbering level defines
how many youngest digits is the number of premises
on the floor (see Table 25).
Physical number to which the decoder will be
addressed is calculated according to the formula:
No.
ind.
=
No.
log
± PreShift
No.
phy.
= (
No.
floor
−
1)
· NumberOfPremisesOnTheFloor
+
No.
premise
± PostShift
Where
No.
floor
and
No.
premise
are obtained from an indirect number, according to Table 25
If the obtained number of the premises is greater than the Number of premises on the floor parameter, the PBX
will signal this on the keypad, and then the connection will be inter rupted.
