6.8 WEAR PLATE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 

Note: Wear plates should be replaced when the distance between the outer edge of the wear plate and the auger screw 
flighting is within 1/8 inch. In general, wear plate replacement should take place before the auger flighting shows signs 
of wear.  

Note: The auger screw should be replaced when the distance between the outer edge of the auger flighting and bolt 
HOLE is within 1/8 inch. When the auger flighting has worn to the bolt holes, the entire auger screw will need to be 
replaced (PN MX10803).
