Loosen the adjustment bolt for the step up pulley until tension has
been removed from the input pulley belt and it can be removed from
the pulleys.

Remove the snap ring from the flat belt pulley shaft located on the
drive input pulley. Remove the pulley and wave washer.

On the crank arm side of the drive input, remove the snap ring from
