Clearing Sheet Jams

Follow these steps to clear a sheet jam.

Press the

power button to shut off the power.

Press the front cover release button and gently open the
front cover.

Press the release lever and gently pull out the jammed
paper.

Jams can be caused by a dirty platen. Clean the platen follow-

ing the directions in the “Cleaning the Platen” section of this

Appendix.

Close the front cover.

Press the

power button to turn on the power.

Release lever
