Troubleshooting: Wi-Fi and hotspot issues
The following table suggests solutions for issues that may arise with the Wi-Fi and hotspot:
Issue/question Possible cause Suggested solution/explanation
I connected my device to the
hotspot enabled on
the dashcam, but I still do
not have internet.
The network
connection
information is
entered
incorrectly.
Verify that you entered the network connection
information correctly. The network connection
information is case sensitive (uppercase and
lowercase letters must be considered) and
ensures that network encryption type is correct
based on the network security encryption.
The dashcam hotspot
doesn't work.
The hotspot of
the V-AI12
dashcam is not
turned on.
From Settings on the dashcam, press Wi-Fi and
toggle the hotspot feature on.
The network

connection information correctly. The network
connection information is case sensitive
(uppercase and lowercase letters must be
considered) and ensures that network encryption
type is correct based on the network security
encryption.
The dashcam network name is “Dash-XXXX” (the
numbers are the last four numbers of
your dashcam's IMEI number), and the default
network password is “12345678”.
