Standby Mode

 

 
To use 

Standby

 mode, the V-AI12 dashcam must be connected to a constant power source. 

See Hardwire the dashcam to the vehicle fuse box for more details. 
 
While in 

Standby

 mode, you can retrieve recordings from the dashcam. In 

Standby

 mode, 

the dashcam draws a current of 34 mA. 
 
The dashcam moves to 

Standby

 mode at a minimum of ten minutes and a maximum of sixty 

minutes after the vehicle stops moving. This enables continued streaming and recording from the 
vehicle for that grace period after the driver has turned off the vehicle. Adjust the number of 

Idle 

minutes to enter standby

 from the Settings menu of the dashcam or from the cloud.
