Safety  instructions / Assembly / Before  use

Do not use the top three rungs of the ladder as a platform if you are  
using the ladder as a lean-to ladder (see Figure B).

Do not use the top two rungs of the ladder as a platform if you are using 
the ladder as a stepladder (see Figure B).

Attched to the ladder frame

 you will find labels with pictograms for a 

safe use of the ladder. Follow the advices on the pictograms to avoid  
accidents:

Before using the ladder, please read the use instructions  
very carefully.

The extension of the ladder must be at least 1 meter above the 
highest point beyond the exit location.

Maximum intended.

Make sure that the ladder is in perfect condition and without 
any defects which could harm you.

Make sure that the ladder is completely unfolded before using 
the ladder. If a safety lock is available, also make sure whether 
it is correctly locked.

Check the ladder feet.

Maximum number of the users each ladder.

Please pay attention to the correct position of the ladder  
angle. The ladder has always to be placed between an angle 
of 65º and 75º.

Secure top / bottom of the ladder.

Keep the ladder joints on the inside oiled and free of dust  
at all times.

Do not use the ladder without the base bars.

Do not stand on the top three rungs of a leaning ladder.

Set the ladder always on a level surface.

Warning! Do not insert a finger into the hole on the side  
of the ladder frame.

Do not stand on the top two rungs of a standing ladder  
without a platform and hand / kneerail.

Never climb up the ladder sideways and never climb from  
ladder to ladder.

Do not use the ladder as a bridge.

Keep your body centered on the ladder avoiding leaning  
too far sideways.

Make sure that the ground is dry, clean and free from any  
pollution, such as water, oil or waste, which can cause that the 
ladder slips.

Never use this ladder in order to perform work on electrical 
devices or construction parts which are under electrical tension.

The ladder may only be used by one person at a time.

Do not stand on the top rung.

Face ladder whenascending or descending ladder.

Make sure that the upper part of the ladder is always  
correctly placed.

Set the ladder always on a firm, immovable ground.

Before use

Avoid damage when transporting ladders on roof racks or in a lorry. 
Make sure that the ladder is appropriately fastened in place

Before using the ladder, visually inspect it. Check that all parts are  
undamaged and in good working order. You may have to grease the 
blocking devices

Remove all contamination on the ladder, such as wet paint, dirt, oil  
or snow.

Lock all doors and windows (but not emergency exits) in the area around 
the ladder where you are going to work.
