,
Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403’S LCD will display “OVL”.
User in the measurement mode of
- radiation flux density can save the measurement results into
Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403’s memory, switch sound alarm off, change set threshold value,
reset accumulated statistics and go to the first step of
-radiation flux density measurement. To do it:
press “MENU” key on Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403 and follow instructions on the LCD.
6.2.2 Measurement mode of β- radiation flux density ("β Measurement Mode")
To measure β- radiation flux density: connect BDAB to Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403
and enter the indication mode of BDAB operation modes. To do it: select the "αβ Detector [BDAB]"
line and press “SELECT” or “ENTER” key on Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403.
Operation sequence in this mode is as follows:
1)
select the measurement mode of β- radiation flux density ("β Measurement Mode"), Figure
6.4 (1). Press SELECT key on Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403. Select the "β Measurement
Mode" line. BDAB will enter the test mode. BDAB automatically enters the measurement mode
when the testing is finished;
2)
following the instructions displayed by Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403’s LCD ,
Figure 6.7 (1), open the gamma filter according to Figure 6.5 (С), place BDAB into
- filter, and
place BDAB on the tested surface so that the detector window faces the surface;
3)
press ОК;
4)
Spectroscopic Radiation Monitor РМ1403’s LCD will indicate a count rate value
specified by common
-
- radiation during measurement of
- radiation flux density – "Beta +
Gamma" in cps, Figure 6.7 (2). Statistical error of average count rate is displayed in percents with
0.95 probability under indicated measurement units on LCD;
