Section 4: Operation Instruction
4.1 Place the Device
Place the device on its base somewhere within easy reach of where you will use it. Make sure that the air inlet on
the rear of the device is not blocked. If you block the air flow around the device may not work properly. Place the
device in a hard, flat surface with clear, ventilated environment, away from heating equipment and cooling device.
WARNING:
Position the device with humidifier so the water level is lower than you, see the humidifier instructions
for complete setup information.
4.2 Setup the BPAP Unit
4.1.1 Assemble Main Device
The main therapy device can be used alone.
Install the air outlet port connection to the main therapy device, and then connecting the breathing circuit and
power (refer to 4.3 and 4.4).

4.1.2 Micro SD Card Installation
Mirco SD card may save treatment and BPAP system’s information. Install the
SDcard before using the BPAP device.
Open the micro SD cover in the nail, and put the micro SD card into the SD seat.
4.1.3 Connecting the Breathing Circuit
To use the unit, you will also need a Nasal Mask (with integrated exhalation port) or Full Face Mask (supplied
separately).
You will need to assemble the following accessories to get the recommended circuit:

Plusmed interface (e.g. nasal mask) with integrated exhalation port.

Plusmed 1.8m (6 ft. flexible tubing.

Plusmed headgear (for the patient interface).
(1) Connect the flexible tubing to the air outlet on the side of the device, as shown in Figure 20.
(2) Connect the mask’s connector to the flexible tubing, as shown in figure 21.
(3) Attach the headgear to the mask. See the instructions that came with your mask for more information.
(4) Adjust your mask, mask cushion and headgear until you have a secure and comfortable fit.
WARNING:
Only Plusmed air tubing and mask, or physician recommended accessories should be used with
the BPAP unit. Do not attempt to wear your mask without the device turned on and operating properly. If you are
using a full face mask, the mask must be equipped with a safety (entrainment) valve.
