The X property
DOME_STEREO_GEOMETRY
reports the actual
position and size (
x,
y,
w,
h
) of the initial stereo screen when
the screen switches to stereo mode.
DOME_STEREO_GEOMETRY
reports only the initial placement, however. It does not report
placement after panning or scrolling, if panning or scrolling
is enabled.
Setting the environment variables
To set the
M2_STEREO_PAN
,
M2_STEREO_NO_PAN_ZONE
, and
M2_STEREO_SCREEN_POSITION
environment variables for the
Common Desktop Environment (CDE), follow these steps:
1
Copy the file
/usr/dt/config/Xconfig
to
/etc/dt/config/Xconfig
, and then edit
/etc/dt/config/Xconfig
.
2
Find the line in
/etc/dt/config/Xconfig
that contains
Dtlogin*environment
.
3
Remove the pound sign (
#
) to uncomment that line.
4
Add the environment variable.
These examples show how to set the environment variables.
Example This example enables panning and scrolling:
Dtlogin*environment: M2_STEREO_PAN=3
Example This example sets a zone of 150 pixels at each corner of the
screen through which the cursor can pass out of the visible
area without causing panning or scrolling:
Dtlogin*environment: M2_STEREO_PAN=3 \
M2_STEREO_NO_PAN_ZONE=150
When you enter, edit, or modify code, type it on one line.
A backslash (\) indicates continuation of the line.
