4. A Job Confirmation Report will print after each AutoDial job you enter, if you
selected this option from the Set Option Function.
5. If you need to temporarily interrupt an AutoDial job while it is in progress, press
PAUSE. The system will complete the current transmission, then it will wait 5
minutes before continuing the transmission. You can send or receive a document
during this time. The Programmable AutoDial job will resume after this
transmission/reception.
6. If you make a mistake while entering any number from the Keypad, press NO
to backspace and erase incorrect digits or use the Cursor Direction Keys to move
the cursor to the incorrect digit. When the cursor is at the point of error, simply
enter the correct digit.
To perform a Single Node Relay through a remote Pitney Bowes fax unit using the
DTMF method:

1. Prepare the document for transmission as usual, then
dial the remote fax with the Telephone Handset off-
hook so you can listen to the tones generated by the
remote fax when it answers.
2. After the connection is made, listen until the receive
tone stops. As soon as the tone stops, enter one of the
following types of jobs:
•
*, One Touch Key (List) number, * to send to a
pre-stored List number in the remote fax unit
For example, enter "*24*" to Relay the
document from your machine to the Final
Destination(s) pre-programmed in the
remote fax’s One Touch Key number 24.
•
*,*, Speed Dial number, * to send to a pre-
stored Speed Dial number in the remote fax
unit. For example, enter "**36*" to Relay the
document from your machine to the Final
Destination pre-programmed in the remote
fax’s One Touch Key number 36.
3. After hearing the SOLID READY TONE from the remote
fax, press SEND/RECEIVE once to begin sending the
document to the remote fax. Press SEND/RECEIVE
twice if you want to receive a Received for Relay Report
from the remote fax.

sent to the remote fax for
Relay to the Final Destina-
tion(s).
