WARNING:

The fuser area is HOT. Do not touch the fuser rollers or injury may

result.

CAUTION:

Remove the paper jam carefully. Toner from the jammed paper can

stain your clothes. If your clothes get toner on them, wipe the toner off with a dry
cloth, and wash the clothes in cold water. Hot water sets toner into fabric.

7.4 Clearing a Misfed Original

In the unlikely event that an original document does not feed properly, the display
will flash “Scanner Misfeed.” You must press “Stop” to erase the message and
then clear the misfed original before continuing. Follow the instructions and
illustrations below:

1. To open the Document Feeder Door lift up on Operator Panel.

2. Remove the misfed document.

Note:

The 2030 will automatically return to the System Ready screen after the
paper jam(s) have been cleared.

If the message in the display still reads “PRINTER JAM” or if the paper
continues to jam, call the Pitney Bowes Diagnostic Center listed in the
back of this Guide.

Note:

Try to send the document again. If documents jam frequently, make

sure your documents comply with recommendations reviewed in Section 3.8.
