2.5 WLAN operation
AccessPoint
The PIKO SmartMeasure Car functions as an “access point” for its own WLAN network where up to 4 devices can be connected with the car.
The factory-assigned WLAN network (SSID) is “PIKO-Messwagen_H0”. No password is required.
Station Mode
When Station Mode is activated, the car can be connected with an existing home WLAN network. The network’s password must be entered into
the car. To configure the SmartMeasure Car for connection to a home WLAN network, you will need to download the free PIKO SmartMeasure
ConfigTool at www.piko-shop.de.
Using AccessPoint and Station Mode at the same time
The PIKO SmartMeasure Car can be used with both WLAN modes activated. Up to four devices can receive data from the car at the same time.
That means that while being connected to your home WLAN network, the car can also send data to three other devices.
3. The physical SmartMeasure Car itself
The display screen and the keypad/USB port are located inside the body of the SmartMeasure Car; directly behind the sliding doors on each
side. The doors can be opened or closed, just like on a real boxcar.
