4.2.3 Loco Address (sniffer address)
Loco Address is where you enter the DCC addresses of the locomotives that you want to monitor. Addresses can range from 1 to 9999. When
you enter a locomotive address, the app no longer monitors the locomotive that you were previously monitoring.
4.2.4 Loco Address autodetect
Loco Address autodetect is where you activate or deactivate the automatic locomotive detection option. If you select “Yes” the SmartMeasure Car
will monitor the locomotive you designate. You designate the locomotive by selecting it on your throttle and pressing F0 three times quickly. After
you have done this, you will notice that the selected locomotive’s DCC address appears on the SmartMeasure Car’s “Loco Address” screen. If
you select “No” than any new locomotive addresses that you entered into the SmartMeasure Car app will not be monitored automatically: the
car will only monitor itself or the last locomotive that you entered into the app. If you want to monitor a different locomotive while the auto-detect
feature is off, you will have to select the Loco Address option and manually enter the new locomotive’s DCC address. The SmartMeasure Car
stores the last detected/entered locomotive address until its changed again.
4.2.5 Displayed data
Displayed data is where you can select from 11 different data options to be displayed on the main screen of the app.
4.2.6 Calibrate Car
Calibrate car is where you can calibrate the position sensor of the car by setting all the measuring axis to zero. To do this, you must first answer a
security question. The car is calibrated by setting it on straight level track or by placing it on a grade (hold on to it!) or superelevated curved track;
in the event you want to duplicate a grade or superelevated curves. You have successfully calibrated the car if its sensor shows 0.00 on the
grade you are trying to duplicate or the superelevated curve you are duplicating.
4.2.7 Reset distance
Reset distance will reset the distance counter to 0. You first must answer a security question.
4.2.8 Firmware version
Firmware version tells you what software the SmartMeasure Car is using. The latest firmware can be found in the PIKO web shop at
www.piko-shop.de/?a=mw.
4.2.9 App version
The App version tells you what version of the App you are using on your device. Current versions of the App can be found at
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.piko. measureCarApp or https://apps.apple.com/de/app/messwagen/id1398748415?l=de&ls=15.
The App version functions in combination with PIKO SmartMeasure Car “ConfigTool“ computer software.
