3.3.2 Function key functions
The PIKO SmartMeasure Car has four function keys at the edge of its PCB. Their functions are as follows:
1. „POWER“
a) A quick press of this key will turn off the current “test run” (measuring session) of the car.
b) Pressing longer (7sec.) will switch off the car entirely. The red LED will start to blink; indicating the button can be released.
2. „MODE“
a) A quick press of this key will change the displayed language from German to English, or English to German.
b) Pressing longer (4 sec.) will initiate a test run (a measuring session). The measured data will be stored in the car’s internal memory and can
be transferred via USB to a PC for evaluation. * As long as the measuring session is active, the yellow LED will blink continuously. A quick press
of the POWER button will stop the measuring session.
*PC will need PIKO Analyst software for analyzing data
3. „RESET“
a) Pressing this key for 4 seconds will reset the measured distance to zero. The yellow LED will blink two times for confirmation.
b) Pressing this key for about 20 seconds will reset the car’s settings to factory default. All user settings and stored values will be erased. The
yellow LED will blink five times for confirmation.
4. „WLAN“
A quick press of this key will switch the WLAN on or off. The blue LED stays lit the entire time WLAN is activated.
