If you want to descramble
programmes when receiving
scrambled broadcasts
When you can receive a scrambled
broadcast, you can descramble the
programme by connecting this VCR to
an external decoder through the VCR’s
AV2 IN/DECODER connector.
Complete the connection described on
page 34 and follow the instructions
below;
1 Press
MENU
to access main menu
screen.
2 Press
5 or ∞ to select “MODE
SET”, then press
OK

If you want to perform fine-
tuning
Fine-tuning is performed automatically
during Auto Channel Set, but you can
also perform fine-tuning manually.

names
You can also change the station name
manually.

name to other than registered one,

station name (ID) begins blinking,

5 or ∞ to cycle through
the characters (A–Z, 0–9, –, *, +, _
(space) and stop when the desired
character is indicated, then press

to enter. Enter the remaining
characters the same way (maximum
of 4).
• If you make a mistake, press

until the incorrect character begins
blinking. Then enter the correct
character by pressing
5 or ∞.
6 Press
OK
. The programmed channel
list appears.

ATTENTION
• If the channel positions are changed
or deleted, the Guide Programme
numbers that have been set are reset
or changed. If an attempt is made at
timer programming with
VIDEO
Plus+ system
in this state, the
“GUIDE PROG SET” screen
appears. Input the channel position on
which the broadcast for the
PlusCode
number is received.
• If the channels are added, set the
Guide Programme number for that
channel (station). (
