Disarm Monitor

The following steps will disarm the monitor currently
'controlled' by the keyboard. This will then prohibit
the monitor from responding to alarms.

1.

Press USER and verify the indicator lights above
the key.

2.

Press MONITOR.

3.

Press OFF.

EXAMPLE: USER MONITOR OFF

The above example will disarm the monitor currently
being 'controlled' by the keyboard.

Acknowledge Alarm Signal

The ACKNOWLEDGE key is provided so that
system users can respond to alarms from the
keyboard. If a logging printer is attached, this
acknowledgment will be printed.

Pressing ACKNOWLEDGE while the keyboard is
beeping due to an alarm condition will silence the
beeper. In the predefined "SEQUENCE and
DISPLAY" alarm response mode, subsequent
presses of the ACKNOWLEDGE key will clear alarm
video from the monitors.

If the monitor's alarm

sequencer is running, it must be stopped (with
the HOLD key) before video can be cleared in
this manner.

Alarm video cannot be cleared using

the ACKNOWLEDGE key in the predefined "BASIC"
or "AUTO-BUILD" alarm response modes. The
behavior of the ACKNOWLEDGE key can be
reprogrammed at will with the optional TC8850
Graphical User Interface software or the optional
TC8x59 Master Control Software package.

1.

Press ACKNOWLEDGE twice.

EXAMPLE: ACKNOWLEDGE (beeper is silenced)

ACKNOWLEDGE (video is cleared)

The above example demonstrates the user's
response to an alarm condition.
